All of my baby sets start at size (1). Size (1) fits a child between the age of 6 months to 18 months. Any size smaller is just not practical. I use either a soft brushed acrylic, a heavier acrylic, or a acrylic/wool blend. All three types of yarns are machine washable and dryable.
